Story of the artisans:

They are from a small town in Andhra Pradesh called Machilipatnam. The village is primary a printing and weaving town. The number of printers on a project is determined by demand. There can be as few as 5 and as many as 25 people printing on one project. All the fabric is hand-woven and printing, dyeing, washing is done by hand. This allows for the employment of several people in the village mostly men. The women normally stay at home and take care of farming. They do on occasion set up looms in their homes for weaving.

The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design, weight, and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.
