The Story Behind The Product

These workshops are located in small villages in Israel and do private label manufacturing for Angie Olami as well as the worker?s own designs. They employ Israelis, including handicapped war victims and Beduin (Arab) women. Their jewelry uses Roman glass shards from archaeological digs that date back at least 1800 years. The glass was originally a clear blue-green color, but trace elements in the soil interacted with the glass over time to create thin layers of patina ? the iridescent oxidation on the glass that gives it such splendid color. All silver is at least 80 recycled. All stones are real. The artists hope you will enjoy their work.
