The Story Behind the Product

This necklace is made in a small studio in the North of Israel in a town called Tivon. The studio is owned by Avihu Zur, a master craftsman, painter, organic farmer, gourmet chef, and father of five. Avihu's studio employs many talented jewelers including Bedouin women who come from nearby Arab villages. The silver used in this jewelry is 90 recycled. Due to the recent war in Israel the economy is depressed. Making these items for not only helps these jewelers to maintain their studios, but also helps them feel connected to the larger world at a time when many people in Israel feel quite isolated.
