Story Behind the Art:
It began as a project in waste management. Now, the plastic bags that once littered the streets of New Delhi are providing income for hundreds of underprivileged local men and women. The bags are reclaimed, sorted, cleaned, then fused into 'new' sheets of colorful and unique fabric. They are then creatively designed and sewn into an array of handbags, totes, satchels, etc.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.
