The town of Heriz (pronounced Harees) is known as one of the most significant historical places in the Azarbaijan province. Heriz rugs are hand-woven by Azerbaijan Turkish inhabitants of the city. They are famous among collectors because of their soft earth-tone colors and geometric pattern. Due to their medium to high pile Heriz rugs are extremely durable, making them ideal for areas of high traffic. This rug is approximately 30 years old and it is in excellent overall condition. This rug boasts rich tones in red, black, ivory, light blue, salmon and grey.
