The Story Behind the Product
30 year old Abdul Kalam is from India. Abdul weaves anything from bedspread, to bed-sheets, to pillow-cases and beyond. Kalam has six members in his family including his parents his wife and his two children and all of them help in weaving. ?This is the only profession we follow and have followed it for generations,? says Kalam. Each family member has a well designated area of expertise. Weaving is done by one person, the borders by another, the stitching and the bleaching and the designing by someone else. It's a very delicate work and takes a lot of time and care , says Kalam. He hopes that you will appreciate the time and effort involved in creating these beautiful works.
