Handcrafted by artisans in China's Hunan province, this exquisite piece recreates the soothing art of the Song dynasty. The ink and watercolor panels feature inspirational imagery on silk floor screen. A silk brocade border decorates the hand-painted front, while the reverse is a solid, light brown tone. Use this exotic creation as a privacy screen or mount it for a stunning piece of wall art.

Each panel is a different poem from the Song Dynasty (translation from the left): Panel 1. Our soldiers go a long way to protect the territory left by our ancestors. They never allow the invading horses to go across the Yin Mountain. Panel 2. Former friends say goodbye at the Yellow Crane Building and go west to Yangzhou in the beautiful blue sky of March. Panel 3. A lonely city sitting on a mountain thousands of meters high watch as the Yellow River goes farther and farther into the white clouds. Panel 4. Story behind the product:

This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. The factory provides an excellent lunch each day for the staff.
