The Story Behind the Art
Historically, Liuli was only to be used by royal families, and few knew how to make it. The mixture of color during the production process is very unpredictable and the failure rate is quite high, causing Liuli?s prices to remain high. This Liuli was made in the Canton province in southern China. Because it was made using the ancient techninques, the lines and shapes are more refined and detailed as well as a more natural and elegant mixture of colors. Through Worldstock, the traditional method of making this unique material can be preserved even in the face of cheap imitations.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.
