The Story Behind the Art

Born in Tehran, Iran, Fariba Heydari came to Arequipa in 1981 with her parents and brothers. She soon began to train as a designer. Its unusual texture showcases the combination of moss green and ivory with strands of rose and copper. Heydari works in luxurious baby alpaca wool, a name given to the fine fibers from the first shearing.
