Story Behind the Art

'My name is Kanyanee Danphaiboon, and I'm from Thailand. I grew up in a big family and I'm the fourth of 5 children. My parents had a local shop that sold hardware and wood for home construction. I would help them in the business while I was studying in school. Through my work I found that there were many skilled carpenters in my area. After I got married I purchased some of the work being done by these wood workers for my home. Many of my friends and family found that the wood-work in my home was very interesting and I decided to start selling it at the shop. The items sold well and people loved them. Now I design my own wooden decorative items using both intricate and simple lines.

The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.
